With the new look to my blog, I am hoping to get back to actually blogging!! Life is so crazy and sometimes it is hard to keep up with all the things that go into running a business and being a mom. This blog is for my business mainly but I love to update y’all on family life as well (or maybe just my mom reads this and she is the one being update! Ha!). Either way, I like to share what is going on with us! For the 4th of July, the family went on a little road trip. Or a big road trip for me because any amount in the car over like an hour feels like a road trip! 🙂 We set out for Indiana to visit family and I thought why not go to Chicago as well so the boys can experience a big city. I mean, we were so close being in Indianapolis and all. Plus it would give us something fun to do and experience something new! So for two days during our week-long trip to Indianapolis, we drove to Chicago! Now, I have to admit, it took a lot of restraint on my part to not spend the entire two days in Chicago shopping. But I did it! Well minus the speed dash through Bloomingdales but that doesn’t count because I didn’t buy
anything! 🙂 On our agenda while in Chicago…Navy Pier, Michigan Avenue, The Bean in Millennium Park, Deep Dish Pizza, the Cupcake ATM, a White Sox Game and whatever else we could fit into our two days. It was a lot of fun and a tiny bit scary as I witnessed a mugging on our second morning! Yikes! There is a reason I don’t live in
a big city! The guy just grabbed a poor young girls’ phone as she was walking down the street and took off! I wasn’t sure what to do but I stopped to check on the girl (I am southern and that means we totally talk to strangers). She was ok and I advised her to call the police. Minus the mugging, it was beautiful and a fun place to visit. Here are some fun photos via Instagram that I captured on the trip! I would love to hear what summer
adventures you have planned! Comment below and tell me where you have been or where you plan on going!!
