A few weeks ago, after many months of planning, I headed to Scottsdale, Arizona to host a photographer conference along side one of my best friends and fellow photographer, for 50+ photographers from across the country!  Courtney DeLaura and I planned for months, brainstormed, created, implemented and finally saw our vision come to life!  It was such a fun conference and I am so blessed to have met each and every single attendee!  All the speakers that we handpicked to teach at this conference exceeded my expectations and it truly felt like an amazing community of photographers who became great friends while learning a ton!!

Even though I am a speaker and one of the organizers of this event, I always leave with new information and inspiration from the other speakers as well as the attendees!  It does my heart and mind good to hang out with people in this industry and learn from them as much as I hope they learned from me!

In addition to education and fun, we also held photo shoots for the attendees and I was in charge of getting attendees to and from the shoot locations.  That meant me driving a 15 passenger van back and forth to the desert!  Yikes!  It actually wasn’t so bad and allowed me the opportunity to snap a few photos myself of this beautiful shoot called Desert Dreamer.  This shoot was styled and lead by one of our amazing speakers, Spanki Mills.  It was defnitely out of the box for me as South Carolina certainly doesn’t have a desert! ha!  But it proved to be the perfect location for this Free People inspired photo shoot and I love the cool vibe these photos portray!
